TikTok's Add to Music App Surpasses 6 Billion Track Saves in 12 Months

Source: TikTok NewsroomFull story →

TikTok's Add to Music App, which lets users save songs from TikTok directly to Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music without leaving the app, surpassed 6 billion track saves in the 12 months from April 2025 to April 2026. The most-saved track globally over that period is Die on This Hill by Sienna Spiro, with 6 million TikTok creations, 16 billion video views, 385 million Spotify streams, and chart positions of #9 in the UK and #19 on the Billboard Hot 100. At #2 is Raindance by Dave featuring Tems, with over 475 million Spotify streams. Tracy Gardner, TikTok's Global Head of Music Business Development, said the milestone shows 'how seamlessly we are converting intent into streaming, chart success, and revenue for artists and their partners.' The feature launched globally in 2024.

THE BREAKDOWN

Six billion saves in 12 months is a direct pipeline metric: each save represents a music listener who moved from passive TikTok discovery to active streaming, generating royalties on Spotify, Apple Music, or Amazon Music. Artists and their managers should track their TikTok save-to-stream conversion rate as a standalone monetization health indicator, separate from total view counts. For talent booking brand deals in the music space, a high Add to Music save rate is now a negotiating data point alongside streaming numbers, since it shows sustained intent rather than passive scrolling. Labels and publishers should be reviewing their TikTok discovery performance as a forward indicator for sync licensing conversations.
