TikTok and Cameo Partner to Embed Personalized Fan Video Requests Directly Inside the App
TikTok and Cameo announced today that Cameo's personalized video request system is now embedded inside the TikTok app for U.S. creators. Creators can add call-to-action buttons to their TikTok content directing fans to request Cameo videos without leaving the platform. TikTok users can also search 'Cameo' inside the app to browse all participating creators. Cameo CEO Steven Galanis said TikTok creators had their strongest year on the platform in 2025 and that the integration is designed to give creators 'a simpler way to grow their business, deepen audience engagement, and unlock new revenue opportunities.'
THE BREAKDOWN
The in-app integration removes the main friction point from Cameo conversions: fans no longer leave TikTok to request a video, which should drive conversion rates up on existing TikTok audiences without any new marketing effort from the talent. For agents whose clients use Cameo as a secondary revenue stream, this means the ceiling on that income goes up immediately. It also creates live demand data: if a creator's Cameo CTA converts well inside TikTok, that is concrete evidence of fan willingness to pay, which agents can use in licensing, appearance, and exclusivity fee negotiations. As a broader signal, TikTok is positioning itself as a monetization hub rather than just a content platform, which shifts the value conversation in brand deal negotiations toward TikTok's own commerce tools.
