The Voice appoints Bru to host a recurring TikTok LIVE show
The Voice has hired radio host and creator Josh Bru Brubaker to host its first TikTok LIVE companion show, The Hollywood Reporter reported November 5. The Monday broadcasts begin November 9 and run through the season finale on December 14. Bru will go live 20 minutes before the television broadcast and continue through the show on The Voice's official TikTok account. NBC plans backstage interviews with artists and coaches, alongside rotating celebrity co-hosts and guest appearances. Bru has more than 5 million followers across platforms, and the report did not disclose his contract value.
THE BREAKDOWN
Pitch companion programming as a recurring hosting contract with a defined episode commitment. A creator's agent should secure rehearsal pay and an overtime rate if the television production runs long. Specify who can reuse backstage clips and whether the creator can publish excerpts on personal accounts. Brands buying into the livestream should request its own audience and engagement reports rather than infer performance from the television show's ratings.
