Sol de Janeiro launches higher-concentration body mists as prestige fragrance gets more accessible

Source: GlossyFull story →

Glossy reports that Sol de Janeiro launched Intense Perfume Mists, a higher-concentration version of its body mists with a promise of up to 10 hours of wear. CEO Jordan Saxemard said the line bridges fragrance mist and fine fragrance while keeping the ease that customers like. The launch includes intensified versions of Cheirosa 62, 59, and 91, plus a new pineapple-orange flower scent called Cheirosa 74. Cheirosa 62, 59, and 74 will launch at Ulta Beauty on August 23, while Cheirosa 91 Intense will arrive at Sephora later this year. Glossy notes that Sol de Janeiro is now the top-selling brand at Sephora and has inspired dupes from brands including MCo Beauty.

THE BREAKDOWN

Beauty creators should watch this as a pricing cue for fragrance education, not only product seeding. Higher-concentration mists require content that explains wear time, notes, layering, retailer exclusives, and value against fine fragrance. Agents should ask for separate fees when a campaign needs tutorial, comparison, retail traffic, and affiliate conversion content. Brands should protect claims around longevity because creators will be the ones answering consumer questions in comments. Retail-exclusive launches also need clear language on where content can link and which retailer gets the sale credit.
