Paradigm Hires Former WME Talent Agent Elizabeth Wiederseim After March Agency Layoffs
Talent agent Elizabeth Wiederseim joined Paradigm's LA office after being cut in WME's March round of layoffs. Wiederseim spent over a decade at Gersh before joining WME, and previously worked at Innovative Artists and Don Buchwald and Associates. Her clients at WME are expected to follow her to Paradigm; she repped actors including Colman Domingo during his Oscar, BAFTA, and Golden Globe nominations for Rustin, plus Leo Woodall, Will Brill, and Nate Mann. Paradigm managing partner Andrew Ruf said she brings 'a rare combination of sharp creative instincts, deep client relationships, and a reputation for advocacy.' Wiederseim was named in Variety's Power of Women in Hollywood list in 2024.
THE BREAKDOWN
Wiederseim's move from WME to Paradigm is part of the ongoing talent shuffle that followed WME's March layoffs, and her client list following her gives Paradigm an immediate boost in prestige-level talent. This signing shows that talent follows agents more often than they follow institutional brands when an agent moves. For clients at agencies currently undergoing restructuring, now is the time to clarify whether their career relationship is with the individual agent or the institution. Agents at agencies facing layoffs should proactively communicate their own stability to clients before a competing agency gets there first.
