Kate Spade renews creator relationships for its holiday campaign
Kate Spade New York unveiled its Holiday 2026 campaign on November 4 with Bretman Rock, Sally Carden, creator collective 4inthe5 and Micky Gordon. The brand reunited with Rock, Carden and 4inthe5 from its fall campaign and added Gordon to the holiday cast. Its prerecorded, vlog-style apartment-party film promotes the Margot and Duo Mini Shoulder bags alongside the wider holiday collection. The company's announcement credits UTA for talent and influencer management, Unreasonable Studios for creative production and Google Creative Works as creative consultant. The release does not disclose talent fees, media spending or campaign sales results, and its comparison to a livestream describes the creative style rather than a live broadcast.
THE BREAKDOWN
Treat a holiday renewal as a new commercial negotiation even when the brand keeps its fall cast. Ask whether the new agreement extends old assets, requires another shoot or adds new product categories to exclusivity. Creator collectives should define which members must appear and who can approve edits on the group's behalf. The brand's agency credits give managers a concrete route for pitching future work, but they do not establish which firm negotiated each individual creator's contract.
