Kat and Déjà Clark sign with CAA to scale a family creator business

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Australian mother-daughter creators Kat and Déjà Clark signed with CAA. The Clarks have more than 20 million social followers and roughly four billion views across family-friendly content. The family recently moved to Los Angeles to expand U.S. entertainment, consumer products, retail, and brand partnership opportunities. Déjà Clark, 16, has more than 2 million Instagram followers and 6.3 million TikTok followers, plus brand work with Chanel Beauty and Uber Teen. Kat Clark has 8.4 million TikTok followers, a skincare brand called Kaladé, and the podcast Basically Besties with Déjà and Latisha.

THE BREAKDOWN

Family creator businesses need a rights map that separates each person's likeness, channels, product companies, and podcast inventory. Because Déjà is 16, deals should address guardian approvals, work-hour limits, savings requirements, school schedules, and category protections. CAA can package film, TV, live, retail, and consumer products, but managers should keep one commercial plan across all lanes. Brands should not treat a family account as a single buy if they need individual posts, mother-daughter appearances, product rights, and retail promotion. The bigger the family enterprise gets, the more important it is to define who approves what.
