Currents Management adds managers in Nashville and Toronto as digital talent work gets more specialized
Deadline reported that Currents Management is expanding its North American team with hires and promotions across Los Angeles, Nashville and Toronto. The company hired Ryan Linden, who spent five years in influencer marketing and talent management at Viral Nation, and Ashley Ward Colson, formerly of Trend Management. Former Gersh agent Emma Clarke was promoted to Director of Talent and will lead the Nashville office. Currents also promoted Evalee Mach, Isabella Wille and Liran Maayani to talent manager roles. The company represents digital talent including Alexandra Madison and Jonathon Bouffard, Kay and Tay Dudley, Micah and Sarah Wallace, Matt and Abby Howard, Julie Sousa, Laura Whaley, Shelby and Dylan Reese, and Rashad Little.
THE BREAKDOWN
Creator management is moving toward market specialization, especially in Nashville and Toronto. Agents should expect more competition for family, lifestyle, comedy and entertainment creators outside Los Angeles and New York. Managers with brand partnership backgrounds can now credibly own talent development, product launches, IP and entertainment opportunities under one roof. That means agency contracts need clean lanes for who controls scripted opportunities, consumer products, live events and brand work. Talent choosing representation should ask which manager owns each revenue line and how conflicts are handled when the roster overlaps.
