A $300,000 to $500,000 benchmark for branded creator series

Source: DigidayFull story →

Digiday reported new creator-series budget estimates from Cyndi Steele, who leads G&B Digital Management's &Beyond Creators' Studio. Steele put a package of 10 long-form episodes and 30 short videos at an average of $300,000 to $500,000. She identified usage rights and IP ownership among the variables that change a quote. Steele said the studio's approach lets brands sponsor programming without owning the underlying IP, with an option to revisit ownership for future seasons.

THE BREAKDOWN

Use Steele's estimate as a scoped example, not a market-wide rate card. Separate the talent fee from production costs in your proposal. Quote paid-media usage outside the base distribution package so a sponsor cannot assume unlimited reuse. Set the renewal process before granting first refusal on another season. If a brand wants ownership, negotiate that purchase apart from its sponsorship fee and specify which assets the creator retains.
